Program Details

Advanced middle school and high school players of the following instruments are encouraged to apply for our Symphony Program!

  • Flute
  • Oboe
  • Clarinet
  • Bassoon
  • French Horn
  • Trumpet
  • Trombone
  • Tuba
  • Percussion

NEW THIS YEAR! Audition video due by March 1, 2025!
– A 2-octave scale with at least 1+ accidental
– A 2-minute solo piece or orchestral excerpt of your choosing

*Park in any lot at Juan Diego except the horseshoe curb (north side)
Your Schedule:
– Monday 6/16 1:15pm-1:45pm: Registration (south entrance of Juan Diego)
– Monday 6/16 through Friday 6/20 2pm-5pm: Classes
– Friday, 6/20 at 5:15pm: Final Concert
Class Breakdown:
– 2:00pm-3:00pm: Sectional with Dr. Marin and Dr. Caceres
– 3:00pm-4:00pm: Full symphony rehearsal
– 4:00pm-5:00pm: Enrichment Class
Concert dress is all black or “Sunday best” (no jeans or sneakers).

 

Audition Video Submission Link (due March 1st)

All participants are required to submit a video recording of both:

1.) a two octave scale with at least one accidental of the student’s choice

2.) a two minute solo piece or orchestral excerpt of the student’s choice
